Issued UCP Elbow Pads

These are genuine issue elbow pads in UCP, the U.S. Army's Universal Camouflage Pattern fielded from 2004 to 2019. UCP was meant to work in every environment at once, desert, woodland, and urban, but its gray-heavy palette famously blended with almost none of them, earning it a reputation as one of the most criticized camouflage patterns the Army ever issued. Congress eventually got involved, and the Army replaced it with OCP by 2019. Today, genuine UCP gear like this is mostly found in the surplus market, both as a functional, affordable pad and as a period piece from a specific, well-documented chapter of Army history.
